We are a network for young people, led by young people
The World Youth Parliament for Water is a global network of young people acting for water and sanitation at all levels : from local communities, where we implement concrete actions, to the United Nations General Assembly, where we advocate for youth participation in the water sector. The WYPW was initiated and is coordinated by the International Secretariat for Water.
Our mission is:
- To coordinate youth actions towards water security at a local, watershed and international level.
- To ensure youth recognition as a key stakeholder in the water sector.
- To raise youth awareness about water issues.
- To strengthen youth capacities to act for water.
Aged 18‐27 years old, members are at the heart of the WYPW. Each is responsible for implementing actions locally in their home country.
The Board is composed by 13 representatives elected through a democratic process in the General Assembly, held every 3 years: 2 representatives per continent and 3 at the world scale. They are the members of the Board.

Our network is integrated by young people aged 18‐27 who are doing actions towards water security. We are undergraduate students, postgraduate students and young professionals from all over the world.
